CHILD EXPLOITATION IN AMERICA

*CHILD PORNOGRAPHY is crime scene photos and videos of children as they are being sexually abused, raped and tortured.

*OVER ONE-MILLION INTERNET CHILD PORNOGRAPHERS have been
recorded by law enforcement disseminating these images of child victims.

*Due to a lack of governmental funding, the Internet Crimes Against Children task forces (ICAC) will investigate less than 2% of these cases.

*Historically, 1/3 of child pornography arrests have led to the identification of an actual child victim and resulted in a 96% conviction rate.

The PROTECT Act of 2008
* provides funding for desperately needed resources to combat online child exploitation.

* funds the specialized training of agents as well as the
necessary equipment and technology to create dedicated Forensic Crime Labs.

Alicia’s Law
*A complimentary state law named after SPC child Victim Alicia. She was Lured, abducted, and held captive by an Internet Predator, and one of the less than 2% rescued by ICAC task forces.

*ICAC Task Forces are Federal, State & local law enforcement and prosecutors working together to combat online child exploitation.
